The Amen Corner Annual Meeting and Holiday Reception were held on December 7, 2011 at the fabulous Mansions on Fifth.  It was an incredible evening with the beauty of decor not only on the outside of the Mansion but also on the inside.
The evening started with the installation of the 2012 Officers.  They are President – Mary Sue Ramsden, Esq.; Vice President – Nancy J. Dunkis; and Treasurer – John R. Bozic.
This year the Presidential Necklace was given to the President by Ray Amelio, who was the outgoing President in 2010 and unable to pass it on in 2010 due to the birth of his granddaughter.
This year’s recipient of the David L Lawrence Award for Public Service was given to Sally Wiggin, Anchor, WTAE TV-4.  Ms. Wiggin serves as a Board Member of a number of organizations including The Caring Foundation, Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium, Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, American Heart Association and The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
The inaugural Amen Corner Excellence in Leadership Award was awarded to Cyril Wecht, M.D., J.D. in recognition of his many years of dedicated service as a physician, lawyer, scholar and public servant.
The food was delicious and catered by The Common Plea Restaurant and the entertainment was by the fabulous Kenny Blake. We are hoping to have our next Holiday Reception at this Venue.
