Judicial Reception 2013

 The 53rd Annual Judicial Reception was held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at the Common Plea Restaurant.  

The program began with the singing of the National Anthem by Richard L. Manning, Detective, Allegheny County Sheriff's Office.  Erik Wagner, President of Amen Corner opened the program with the President's Welcome.

The first award given was the Lifetime Achievement Award by Mary Sue Ramsden, Esquire, Judicial Co-Chairperson to Robert Raphael, Esq.

The next award was presented by Judge Jeffrey A. Manning, Administrative Judge, Criminal Division, Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and was presented to James M. Ecker, Esq.

The recipient of the Judge Robert E. Dauer Award for Outstanding Leadership and Judicial Excellence was awarded to Judge D. Michael Fisher, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  His award was presented by Judge Thomas M. Hardiman.

Amen Corner was proud to honor these individuals for their service at this event. 

 

Judicial Reception 2012

The 52nd Annual Judicial Reception was held on April 10, 2012 at the Common Plea Restaurant.  This year's event was as successful as in the past. 

The recipient of the Judge Robert E. Dauer Award for Outstanding Leadership and Judicial Excellence was awarded to Judge Gustave Diamond, Senior Judge, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  He was given the award by last year's recipient Judge Jeffrey A. Manning.

The recipient of the Judge James R. McGregor Award was given to Linda L. Kelly, Pennsylvania Attorney General. Governor Tom Corbett presented her with the Award.

Amen Corner, a Pittsburgh civic association since 1870, held its 51st annual judicial reception on April 28, 2011 at the Common Plea Restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh.  Over 200 guests attended to celebrate the association’s prestigious Robert E. Dauer Award for Judicial Leadership and Excellence presented to Judge Jeffrey A. Manning of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. 


Pittsburgh lawyer, Michael K. Feeney, was the recipient of the first Judge James R. McGregor Award.  Mr. Feeney received the award for his contributions to the community as a young attorney. 

Amen Corner was pleased to have Governor Tom Corbett attend and make the award presentation to Judge Manning.
