 On October 12, 2012 Amen Corner hosted their 12th Annual Senator John Heinz Law Enforcement Awards Luncheon at the Sheraton Hotel, Station Square.  This year over 250 people attended the event.
The Awards were given to the following:
“Courageous Act” Award – City of McKeesport Police Officer Steve Kondrosky and White Oak Borough Police Officer Jeff Haynes.
“To Protect and Serve” Award – City of Pittsburgh Police Officers Matthew Smith and Angie Lane.
“Crime Doesn't Pay” Award – Monroeville Police Detectives James R. Hredzak and Jonathon A. Pawlowski.
“Above and Beyond” Award – City of New Kensington Police Department Patrolman Anthony Grillo.
“Starsky & Hutch” Award – City of Pittsburgh Police Officers Lawrence M. Connolly and Brendan J. Nee.
“911 Quick Response” Award – University of Pittsburgh Police Lieutenant David Basile, Sergeant Dan Papale and Officers Joshua Acre, Ron Bennett, Guy Johnson, Tom Lasky, Stephen Tomovich, Brian Turac, Brian Veze, and Joseph Washinski.
“Honorable Mention” Awards – Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Thomas Plunkard, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Edward Joyner, Allegheny County Sheriff's Commander Michelle Terry, Allegheny County Sheriff's Lieutenant Leo O'Neil.
“Hall of Fame Presentations” – Family of Police Officer John David Dryer, Family of Police Officer Derek Kotecki, Family of Deputy Commander James Ricupero.  Monroeville Police Officer James S. Markel sang "Danny Boy"
